Jan Merrit Strasser was born in Sacramento, California. A 6 ft tall goddess that loves Tucson, dogs, horses and cats plus just about every creature except insects (though they are fascinating). I hate junk science but love the pursuit of fact. I am married to the Executive Director of International Dark Sky, have a son 20 years old at Pima Junior College studying Film and English, a daughter 17 years old a senior at CDO studying everything!!, living in a old territorial home from 1959 and a dog that amazes me how smart she is. I have a Bachelor of Science in Biology from UC Davis and a long time love of Science Fiction and the possibilities of tomorrow.
